The Problem
Modern life often distracts couples from deep communication, leading to routine conversations, missed emotional cues, and lost opportunities for growth together. Existing apps are either too clinical, or lack depth and privacy.
The Opportunity
- Meaningful dialogue is a foundation of healthy, rewarding relationships, and most couples crave new ways to connect.
- Many users seek curated, “guided” support—not generic chat apps.
- Privacy and ease-of-use are essential for sensitive relationship topics.
- Timely reminders can turn good intentions into lifelong habits for stronger relationships.
The Goal
Design an app that serves as a gentle catalyst for deeper conversations and personal growth between couples, while always protecting their privacy and making the experience delightful.
My Role
Solo designer & developer (iOS, SwiftUI). Full-stack responsibility—UX research, product/feature design, visual/UI design, code, App Store launch, ASO, support.
Responsibilities
- Designed the UI around elegance, simplicity, and emotional warmth
- Developed reminder & notification flows that nurture habit formation without intrusion
- Built privacy-first local storage—no account, iCloud sharing if available
- Crafted conversational copy and assembled a diverse prompt library, covering all relationship phases and interests
- Created marketing assets and App Store presence
- Collected user feedback for ongoing feature improvements
The Result

What I Learned
- The right question at the right time can truly deepen relationships

- Habit-building features (reminders) are as important as the content itself
- Emotional tone, copywriting, and visual warmth all contribute to trust and engagement in relationship apps
